Dr. Yoon Piano Studio offers private piano instruction for intermediate to advanced students. Lessons emphasize refined technical development, musical interpretation, theoretical understanding, and performance preparation. Students are provided with opportunities to participate in recitals, auditions, competitions, and other professional musical activities.

 

 

Studio Policies

Tuition


40-minute lesson – $55
50-minute lesson – $65
60-minute lesson – $75

 

Lesson duration is determined according to the student’s age, level of study, concentration ability, and long-term musical objectives.

Tuition is payable at the first scheduled lesson of each month.

Attendance and Missed Lessons


Advance notice is required for all anticipated absences and should be communicated at the time of monthly payment whenever possible. Absences due to illness or emergency require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice to qualify for a makeup lesson or credit. Lessons missed without notice, or cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled lesson time are non-refundable and not eligible for makeup.

Student Responsibilities


Practice consistently 3–5 days per week.
Bring all assigned materials and repertoire to each lesson.
Use a three-ring binder with a pocket for sheet music and written assignments.

Studio Procedures


As the studio is located within a private residence, adherence to studio etiquette is required. Wash hands prior to each lesson. Keep fingernails trimmed. Remove shoes upon entry. No food or gum (water is allowed). Parents or guardians must pick up younger students promptly at the end of each lesson. Supervision is provided only during scheduled lesson times.

Withdrawal Policy


A minimum of two weeks’ written notice is required to discontinue lessons.

Dismissal Policy


The instructor reserves the right to terminate instruction in cases of repeated misconduct, excessive absences, insufficient practice resulting in lack of progress, or failure to meet financial obligations.
